Movie Poster Plot

Movie opens on a normal high school with normal students where nothing out of the ordinary happens. Everything changes one night when a UFO lands in the middle of an open field with no one around to see it. On board of this UFO is one alien who is adamant about taking over Earth. He makes a plan that try and possess the mayor of the town and start there, but that is proving to be a little more difficult than he anticipated. While attempting to possess the mayor, the alien sees a picture of his daughter and thinks that she will be an easier target. He is right. He successfully possesses the mayor's daughter Sarah hoping that this will be the first step in taking over the world. That is until he has to go to school the next day. He ends up going through all the trials and tribulations of being a teenage girl. He deals with homework, boys, friends, sports and PUBERTY. He takes control of her body for 6 months. Homework #5

The thing that really struck me while reading this article was actually towards the beginning when he was talking about his history. He said he just fell into this career, and its very rare to see that. Another thing I liked was when they were talking about how they made the movie poster for Magnolia. They said that there were a few designs that were being tossed around but they ultimately settled on the close up of a magnolia flower with the cast photo-shopped onto the petals. I think that is a really strong poster simply because it shows a little bit about the movie without reading that much into it.

Homework #4

Children and teens all over the world look up to and idolize their favorite celebrities. I remember doing it while I was growing, my friends and I would go to a bookstore and gather up a bunch of magazines and just sit on the floor for hours reading them and seeing what our favorite celebrities are up to. It isn't a bad thing to look up to them as examples or role models, but it's unfortunate that children and teens are not getting an accurate picture of what it is like to be them. You look in a magazine or even watch a movie and think "wow, they are so beautiful", without knowing that that look probably took hours to perfect. By the time we see a picture in a magazine that isn't even our favorite celebrities anymore, it's only what they want us to see. Those photos have been altered countless times to make the final picture something that people will look at and adore. It's sad that this is what children are growing up to and comparing themselves to now b
